Did this as a warm-up study before plunging into the Paintable #oneweekportrait challenge / Workshop.
I picked the wrong reference as it should be a colored one. I could as well just color it, but personally I found b+w really hard and in this portrait, the subtle expression is so hard to match and if you watch the process slides-video, you see how bad it looks at the beginning. The process is really awful to say the least, so in that regard the workshop can only help to improve on that.
The result could still be improved, but I'm done with this so far and concentrate on my new portrait pick for this week.
