This is most likely the last piece I painted this year, but you never know.

It is funny that the holiday season is actually the most productive time for painting ;)
This is one of the rare occasion I paint men and it has a special reason that makes only sense if you saw Captain Marvel.

I saw it recently and this scene chased me that I had to paint this picture of Samuel L. Jackson as Fury with the cat called Goose which is actually a flerken (an alien species), I simply had to paint it! :lol:

It is based on a classical painting by Philip Alexius de Laszlo and I used that painting just as a springboard for the palette and painting texture in order to create the look. I used a portrait of SJ for reference and the pose/cat is based on a stock image.
