Its a mix between Sculpture (Microscope, CD-player, DC-adapter, sewing-machine parts, findings, clay, etc) overpainted with physical airbrush in Gold / Bronze, photographed and arranged around the exisiting imagery.
The portrait is used with permission from Istockphoto. And no, it is not Rihanna ;)
The background is from my own stock.

Actually this was done for the cover competition at "Advanced Photoshop Magazine", made runner-up amongst 9 others in a following issue feature and was cover of French "Advanced Creation Magazine".
